Anyone tried rear coil spring conversion for GMT 900?
I have a 2009 GMC Sierra Denali crew cab AWD truck. Great truck, but compared to my 2008 GMC Yukon XL Denali, it rides like a tank. The Yukon XL is AWD too, but the ride is velvet smooth compared to the Sierra.
Has anyone installed coil spring suspension to the rear of the GMT 900 trucks? I'm wanting to drop the front and rear anyway so I'm open to suggestions. Could an Avalanche or Suburban suspension bolt in or would I need to go to a coil-over conversion?

While Denali Down Under performed a 4-link air-bag swap to his Sierra Denali, it was a GMT-800, but he designed it as a bolt-in affair. By taking a similar approach, whether it be with coil springs, coil-overs or air bags, I bet you could end up approaching a ride comparable to what you’re looking for. Really I’m surprised more people don’t go this route, besides people just looking for lowering their vehicle.

I don't see why with some mounts being added why a SUV suspension couldnt be put under a truck. I you're going for pure ride quality, retrofitting an autoride system under the rear would be really nice, and would retain a decent amount of load capacity as well.
