Texas Speed's VVT cams have a major PLUS and a major NEGATIVE....
PLUS: They provide you with a dyno-tested phaser timing curve to maximize the output of the cam. When you have that, there is no guess-work and it is essentially the same as tuning a static camshaft. This is something that even the custom-cam-spec guys can't match either because they don't spend hours upon hours creating this for every cam.
NEGATIVE: They don't provide exact cam specs due to their fear of them being stolen.
They only give estimates (that correlate very close to the COMP VVT Cams actually....) I can't spec a cam, but I know enough about them to say that I won't buy a cam unless I know all the specs. Big risk IMO.
They are still very enticing though....

coban, it scares me as well. i have been dealing with them for about 3 weeks now. as it sits, there are three companies that have vvt cams. the grinder of them all, comp. mast, and texas speed. esp uses comp vvt cams.
sadly enough, tsp has the dyno numbers and the vvt tables to go with them.
out of all the research i have done, i have yet to find any vague numbers, or dyno plots vs stock either.

There are a few people on camaro5 forum that have TSP vvt cams. TSP has posted some engine dyno charts over there as well. There are a few chasis dyno listed over there but they are the larger cams not the vvt 1. I would think the vvt 1 cam would be slightly ahead of the vvt truck cam TSP posted in the dyno section of this forum. Its still a small cam so I wouldn't expect much more.

coban, both actually. i have seen the dyno plots for the afm-3 cam, and the vvt-2 cam. so i guess it's safe to say it falls somewhere in the middle.
i have more or less made my choice in cams at this point in time
