Anyone using timbrens bump stops in rear for towning
I tow with my truck once in a while and the back sags pretty good.I was considering putting the timbrens on.Anyone running them and do u like them .I dont tow alot but sumtimes tow my car trailer and a race car..There $200 seems like alot but if they work i guess its not bad.I dont think it will affect the ride unless i put a load on it...

How about air bag setup?
Ive been using them for a couple years now and love it!! Air them down to about 5-10psi when your unloaded and you never know they are there..
Put something heavy in the bed and air them up till your comfortable.
No way id pay $200 just for bumpstops.. $250 and you have a air bag setup.

I’ve had them on a previous truck.
Their ‘progressiveness’ is helpful when heavily loaded and installation is straightforward.
The passive nature of a glorified bump stop leaves something to be desired imho.

Following the suggestions from respected contributors of this forum, upgraded to air bags this time ‘round.
They’ve proven exceptionally useful.

i looked it up and found it is a progressive bumpstop.. i should have looked it up first before commenting. but i still dont see them being better than an adjustable airbag setup.
When im really lazy ill air the bags up to 100psi. drop the jack on the trailer and dump the bags then drive away.

Ive never tried the bags out back but I did have a cube van with bags in the front coils and that was a big help for the heavy load days. The timbrels just happened to come on a couple of trucks I bought, I never installed them. The bags are a step up indeed as I also had no idea how pricey those timbrels are vs how low buck the bags are. I have neither on my 11 now, These days my truck doesnt see a lot of weight, mostly work related gear which is light, a few diffs, new engine or project parts etc, nothing major here anymore. Not like back in the scrapping days....
Mind you if you want the utlimate in towing? Far as im concerned you need something like this which I use for my travel trailer and float etc.
