Since I live no where near a reputable tuner (that i know of), the AutoCal was my only hope for a good tune. I recently heard there are issues/bugs with the AutoCal. I know of at least one 'super tuner' that has quit using it due to these bugs and waiting on the response of another. WHAT NOW? Am I stuck waiting until they can get these worked out?

Anyone aware of this? Can you shed some light on this for me?

 

Hmmm I just got one going to use on my 2010 .......downloaded the software so far seems OK ............EFI has an Auto Cal forum check there

 

mine is sitting at the house waiting on me to get home from this deployment. I read through one of the tuners sponser areas on gmfs and it seemed like no one was having issues with it.

 

My problem was I forgot how to use it. Logged in on black bears site and was back in action. I'll post up after I get the updated tune from him on how everything went going in

 

Actually I went to the EFI forum ..Auto Cal and yes it seems some of the software they have found bugs in it and will or have updated the software ........ but this pbly is at the level of the tuner "blackbear" he should have the ;latest software for us ..his customers to download so if you have had your autocal a while would not hurt to check to see if you have the latest version .......... I am the same have had it a while but have forgotten how to use it ned to get my new truck tuned so will need to get up to speed again ............be a good thread "sticky" to have started .......How to use your AutoCal" Justin can you help with that ?

 

i take back what i said.. it was a problem from efi live, i take it as when justin sent me new files they were on the newest version which is not yet listed on efi lives site

I got an autocal before Christmas. At first I was not sure that it was a wise purchase. After I submitted my logs, it took about 2 weeks to get a tune that was updated for my long tubes. No biggie. Justin had high volume around the holidays. I got an updated tune and I couldn't be happier. Since I tow some, I also got a tune that was safer for my transmission when towing. I now use my autocal to swap between tunes weekly and it performs flawlessly. I've got no complaints about Blackbear's support of the device either. I feel I've gotten my money's worth so far.

 

i was just a bit frustrated at the moment. kept getting an error about the firmware. i couldnt drag and drop the programs either because of not being same version. i tried updating through the software on my computer and i was up to date. i emailed justin and got a response in minutes with a link to get a version which is beyond whats on efi lives site. downloaded that and all worked good. justin has helped me through my troubles and the truck feels great with the all out tune he sent me

 

Just a few minor software issues on EFILive's side of the house, but they have been quickly remedied. Our AutoCal customers can log into our AutoCal site to update their AutoCals accordingly.
