Well the airbag light came on for the wife on the way to work yesterday, she's off today so I brought the truck to work and scanned it, this is what I've come up with.

B0079-Left Front seat position sensor short to ground or open circuit.

I havent had to really dig too far into these trucks (07.5+) yet and havent seen this code either... There's some TSB's out there but theyre for multiple codes with this just being one of them. This code is the only one stored in the truck, and will not clear. I looked around under the seat to see if it was just unplugged but everything's where it should be. The truck has manual seats and all too if that makes a difference.

Just wondering if anyone has seen this one yet. I'll probably be calling across the road to the GM dealership today sometime to see if they have any ideas before I start digging thru wiring harnesses.

 

Pulled the seat and harness last night and had a look. Ended up being a pin fit problem in the actual sensor connector. I corrected it and put everything back together... No problems

 

It's good when a plan comes together.
