i was in shock when i read about it cause i was talking to comp cams the other day and they inseted that the 6.2 l92 engine has afm which was true for 2010 . more information please

do i have it on my h2 cause on my frineds silvarado shows when its on 4 cylinders and 8 cylinders but not my car and all gmc denali we have

 

What's the issue you have w/. DoD?

 

i whant a vvt cam for my blower aplication with high flow heads comp are confusing me

cause they have cams for vvt and cams for vvt with afm so i dont know one will fit my car

 

VVT and DOD are 2 separate things. However can't you just disable both of them?

There are multiple threads on the topic of disabling DOD. It's not too difficult

 

If not disable, MAST has cams for this.
VVT cams & phaser restrictors for sure; unsure on the DoD side of what they carry.

 

no the 2010 6.2's do not have DOD. at least on the silverado they do not. my build sheet w/ spec's/options states it that way, and my truck hasnt once kicked into dod mode. they got rid of it on the late 6.2's iirc due to weak lifters on the cylinders that were "turned off" via dod which is why people dont like it

if you have a truck w/ dod you simply tune it out and replace the lifters on those cylinders and you'll be fine. aaaaand if i'm talking out of my *** i apologise but to my best memory this is the negative's of DOD

 

DOD is disabled in the tune of my 2010 Sierra from the factory. I have HPTuners.

 

makes me wonder though if it still has the weak dod lifters?

anyone cam a 2010 yet and know?
