bed cover
anyone have any suggestions for a good bed cover. i had the back flip on my old truck and that one leaked a lot. I'm looking for something that looks good but also won't be a hassle

I had a Fold-a-Cover on my '99, and when I traded that in on this '11 truck I immediately put the much-improved new model Fold-a-Cover on it. I love it. I ordered it online but had just had surgery on my hand when I got it so I had a shop install it - and the mechanic there liked the construction of the thing so much he started telling the owner that they ought to carry them.

I think it all depends on exactly what you want the cover to do, and what you can afford. I love the looks of the one-piece color matched painted hard ones, but they're expensive and not as versatile for what I do with a pickup. With my fold-up hard cover, I can have excellent security and still instantly get it out of the way enough to haul a load of rock or a big piece of furniture. Some are also pretty easy to take completely off if you need more room. They're not as water tight as the one-piece ones, but several of them are pretty darn good. It is lucky for me that I don't mind the limited color choices of the Fold-a-Cover (black only, as far as I know).
I personally don't see any advantage at all to the soft covers, but some guys love 'em.

Will any of them work with a bed liner and still be water tight? I am looking at getting one of the tri folding ones as well (color matched hard 1 piece covers look great, but then you can't use your truck as a truck) but wonder if my bed liner means I can't get one that will be water tight.
