Belltech Flip Kit
Got my Belltech Flip Kit in the mail and I was wondering how hard is it to install it and how long it usually takes? It comes with hangers to replace the stock hangers so it will drop the truck six inches instead of seven.

I'll tell you the truth, Ive done much eaiser drops on other trucks then on these before. Take the time to cut off the bump stop mounts before you get into doing anything else. those take a while. then, when doing the flip, you need to either drop the tank (pain in the ***), or disconnect everything from the rear end and slide the axle to the side to lift the driver leaf over top (route we chose). have a few friends there for that one, much better with help. with air tools and a lift, it took me and a friend about 7 hours from start to finish, with the random smoke brake and beer run in there too.

Put it in a shop ( or garage ) take the bed off..
Makes things oh so much easier..
Cutting the bumps off first is a good plan. with the bed off it makes the grinding and cutting alot safer as well..
Have a buddy or two come over, and make them regulate the beer intake and you should be good to go..
I did mine pretty quickly but like i said, taking the bed off helps alot..
No need to take the tailights out to do this either.. Just pull the plug on the junction on the frame, remove filler neck, remove 8 bed bolts and there ya go..
Also, one final tip, if you plan to keep the truck, do yourself a favor and get a jar of antiseize and use it everywhere.. Your tools will thank you if you ever have to tear into it again..

did yall cut them at the welds or did you just cut it where the frame stops? i took a tigerpad to the welds and smoothed the frame out and repainted everything. it came out really good. i also worked on mine alone and rolled the rear end out the way. next upgrade will be a Notch and/or helper bags.
