I googled it and seen it was a aluminum intake. I'd stay away from those due to heat soak!
I was one of the persons who did the CIA Dyno WARS Cai Dyno Wars Results - SilveradoSS.com Look at the result for yourself |

Dry drop-in with an Airaid M.I.T. here. Love it, especially after I was tuned for it. Doesn't cost $300+ either.

No dyno, but it was noticeable once tuned. Unfortunately I can't tell you how much it added tuned vs tuned with the tube and filter because I added the Jr before I got tuned. I can say, however, that Justin said it was noticeable in the data logs when he was tuning.

Well I went with Vararam Tri Power! I got it on sale before Christmas and paid under 300 for it! Very noticeable difference, I have a video on here racing my brother and he outran me by a tenth in the 1/8 before the CAI!! Not anymore!! I haven't had it hooked back up to the computer and see what can be adjusted in the tune! Hopefully a lil bit more can come out of it!

ive done this twice...on both of my trucks. k & n drop in filter stock box and cut off silencers. throttle response is alot better and a good tune.. mine runs like a beast imo.. and it only cost me 50 for the drop in.. to cover the holes on the intake tube i used bondo fiberglass.. never had any problems....
