Default Better oil filter on 2011 trucks?

Did a oil change and noticed the filter on them are pretty small for my likings so I researched and they said to buy one from a 2005-ish 2500 cause there bigger and filter better so I did BUT didn't work cause the threading was wrong and come to find out the 2011's have a metric thread now or whatever. Anybody know what truck I can buy a filter from that's bigger then a cupcake?? Filter off a 6.2 work n bigger then 5.3 filters?

My 6.2 filter is the same as my 5.3 filter *6.2 is 07 and 5.3 is 08* so i guess mine wont help you too much

I use the deco PF 61 on my ls engines. It's taller than the other one . I don't see why it won't work on yours. The small filter bothered me too .

Well I bought a Wix filter for a 2005 2500 HD with a 6.0 and yea it's taller but wrong thread on the filter, it's too small. So when I went back I had to buy a stock size filter cause I was mid-oil change and mic'ed it and yea my 2011 filter has a bigger dia. hole vs all other ls engines.

Delco PF63 is a longer filter that will attach to your metric base.

well i picked up a PF 61 and it doesnt fit my 6.2, i bought 2 because of my 5.3 yet the ones that fit my 5.3 are the same i was using on my 6.2 so i guess the PF61 wont fit my 5.3 either.
