So Black Bear is the only one with the autocal(or handheld unit to load/unload the tune)? Nelson and Wheatley still both have to either mail in your ecm or swap it out for another(and do the crank/security relearn right?)
My main reason is no downtime and being able take it back off if need be(yes I know it can be detected still if they look hard enough).

No, alterations to the programming on GM trucks cannot be detected once the vehicle has been reflashed to factory settings. Only GM's Global A vehicles (2010+ Camaro, new Regal, etc) have a pcm capable of revealing past reflashes. The pcms in the trucks still don't have this capability. I have an Autocal with my factory tune ready to go, in case I am one of those with a workmanship-related engine failure down the road. If my engine has a problem, I plan to upload the factory tune and take it to a dealer.

Nelson all the way. I have a 98 SS camaro full bolt ons with a tune that ran 12.77 at 107.XX with a 1.97 60ft that was a 55 degree day with -300 DA. I ran last week with my new Nelson tune the car ran a 12.88 At 108.XX with a 1.98 60ft it was a 85-90 degree day with + 2300 DA. The car feels so much faster all around from every punch. I have ran in similar conditions with my previous tune and couldn't break 13.1s. So I highly recommend Nelson to anybody

X2. I have rode and drove this truck quiet a bit before and after Nelson tune. It was night and day deference lets just say his tires now officially hate him.
