Blackbear Tune

Blackbear Tune
Blackbear will be in my area in a few weeks and I really want to get the truck tuned!! I e-mailed Justin and he recommended an AutoCal. Is anyone using the Autocal? It seems like a pretty cool idea being able to store multiple tunes and being able to load the stock tune if I had to go into the dealer for warranty work. I am thinking of starting with a 92 octane tune and taking out some of the TM. What kind of gains should I see on a completely stock 6.2?

Autocal is the way to go. I did it on my 08 denali before I supercharged it and it was an easy process and quick and easy to switch tunes if need be. He is currently working on a better tune for my supercharged application now. He also has the best service between his wife and himself. They are always quick to respond to emails and pm's on these forums. You will not be dissappointed.

Definitely go with the autocal. I have a performance tune and a towing tune that I use. The ability to swap them out as needed is a big convenience. I think it is also a good thing to be able to log data. With that, Justin can make necessary adjustments to your tune as you continue to mod.

Not only the above advantages but remember as well that you cannot remove the TCM and send it away on any of the 6L80E or 6L90E equipped units. It's intergrated into the valve body so the only way to tune it is flash it via the OBD 2 port.

Great numbers! Hopefully I can get close to that with mine. I just added an Airaid MIT and drop in K&N and it actually feels a little sluggish now. I am hopeful the tune will take care of that.

It will. I have a 2011 6.2 truck with the MIT and a dry Airaid drop-in, and my truck really rips with the BlackBear tune. Definitely sprung for the Autocal too; I'm considering a supercharger and it will be nice to be able to get a tune update when I get it installed.
