Default bump stops for 4" rear drop

Bought an 07 RCSB Chevy last weekend. Order the McGaughy's spindles and leaves/shackles for a 2"/4" drop. Plan on installing this weekend. Got to looking at the bump stops in the rear. Looks like 4" will put the bump stops pretty close to the axle. My first instinct is to cut off the mounts and bolt a shorter stop to the frame. What do you guys do?

I see alot of guys C-notch the frame for clearence. some just cut the bump stops down but you may bottom out with any weight in the bed and ride like ****. c-notch is the way to go.

Thanks. I guess I'll start with cutting off the stops and see if I need to do the notch. Don't really want any contact there so if that's what it takes, I'll do it.

that 4" drop shouldnt be much of an issue considering how high these trucks sit when stock. Cut the stop in half and I think you'll be fine

cut the metal bumpstop bracket off the frame. You'll have about 6" between the frame and axle once you do that.

word just cut the drop bracket metal off, drill a 3/8 hole in the frame, tap it and screw the factory bumpstop back the frame

That is what I was hoping would work.
By the way, your truck is absolutely perfect. I can't think of how it could look better.
