here are the vids i took of the issues. the first one is showing the tack when it started slipping you can see the needle jumping and truck would barely move. 2nd one shows the terrible sound it was making when i got it in the driveway. after i shut it off and restarted it after it sat a bit, and it stopped making noise.

Yikes. Take that thing back and tell them to shove it, then just another one. I would lose my marbles getting a new truck only for it to have catastrophic failure the first day. Mind you par for the course as nearly everything now days built by anyone either doesn't fit or doesn't work right out of the box. Seriously, something like this that early in it's life probably just spells out a life of disaster. Maybe not, but the dealer had better not give you one bit a flack about it either.........

Try this....disconnect your neg battery cable for 30 mins and reconnect. Let it idle and go drive the **** out of it. See what happens, you may have to reset the computer. I have heard of one other 6.2 doing exactly what you'res did and it worked all the grinding noise however tells me it's a goner. Damn man, that really sucks.

truck got towed to the dealer this morning. my problem with telling them to shove it, and get me a new one is there are no 2011 6.2's out there in a color i like to just swap it out. only other ones we located were white and red. i should hear something tomorrow on it, i dont know what to do. wishing now i had just kept my 2010 5.3 and put a bigger gear in it.

Perfect time to make an upgrade to a '12 then. They build them everyday almost anyway you like, lol. I realize they don't have the incentives the '11 models do though. I guess your stuck with it then if that's th way it is. Good luck!

I'm trying to locate a 2011 6.2 extended cab right now and not having much luck.
What kind of rebates and offers did they give you on yours if you don't mind me asking?

So what happened with the transmission?
I was hunting for my 2011 6.2 for 2 weeks before Thanksgiving & found the same thing as you not many out there & were selling pretty fast.
Day after Thanksgiving I drove from Cleveland to Lansing MI to get my 4x4 ec Sierra SLT max trailer, white tan int-tan was out of the question when I started looking. Had to get a 2011 cause of the rebates & since I own a 2007 Saturn got another $1500 so $6505 & supplier discount colldnt pass it up.

I plan on towing a 8,000 lb car hauler & knew my 06 5.3 HO with 3.42s wouldnt do it & I'm not sure it would with 3.73s in a 4 speed truck.
