Default Cai....?

I Am looking at the vararam tri power for my 2011 6.2, opinions please? They are on Maryland speed for 269. Sounds like a deal to me. I have one on my G8 and love it, just wondering if I will be as pleased with it on my truck for they money? I'm pretty sure I have asked this in the past, but can't remember the responses.

Save the money throw a K&N and cut the bottom out of the air box. You will be money ahead and have more or less the same results. The OE box's flow pretty well on these trucks. I found salvage yard gold and picked up a used volant for my 11 6.2 truck and other than sounding better when you get in it I really can't tell a noticeable difference from my gutted stock box with a K&N filter.

Or you could an AIRaid JR for like 125.00. It has bigger intake pipe and free flowing filter. I think I saw somewhere it made almost 10hp on a dyno.

Had the K&N and the Vararam on my 2008 Silverado. The maintenance sucks on the Vararam (especially if you have a throttle body spacer), but I much prefer it because it does make more power than the K&N. 320rwhp with K&N....343rwhp with Vararam. Same dyno, weather conditions, and 91 octane.

thanks i am sure that helps answer my question and surely helps 8ualive out as well. you also knocked out another question on the throttlebody spacer so you can run one with the vararam. sorry about the thread jack just trying to get the same answers as well
