ya
altho they jacked my insurance up like $150 for nothing. When I bought my new truck I figured it would go up because of the 6.2L but it went down a little. Then I noticed that they had a check digit in the vin wrong and they jacked it up $150 because of it. I asked them why it went up and they said its because of that digit. 6th digit. they had it as a F but its a S The digit meant nothing.
I had the same truck but a 08 5.3l. So my insurance has gone up $300 for nothing and it goes up every 6mo. im 34 and other then I hit 2 deer in 3 years I havent even had a ticket in 16years. I use to have Allstate but I know the agent was ripping me off because I know 2 people my age that have DWI s and were paying less then me when I had allstate.

Most insurance companies still let you add additional coverage at a set amount for anything. I opted for an additional $5K of coverage on my old Silverado, and so far have an additional $2500 on my Tahoe. All it cost was my rate going up $16 for 6 months, easily worth it.

Geico is a PITA to deal with, always has been, good luck getting them to pay out after a loss too. Progressive also low ***** you, State Farm and Farmers seem decent so far, and Allstate has been fine with my 3 hail claims in one year but have never dealt with a total loss with them as of yet.
