Cam & Converter for 4.10s
2008 Crew Cab Silverado
4.8/243s
4l60e
305/40/22s
3.23 Gears
Bully Dog
This truck is and will be a Daily Driver... But, with the future possibly ending with a Turbo, I was wondering what would be a good street friendly turbo cam? I will be running NA for a while but the cam will still perform correct? Also, what would be a street friendly converter, (3000-3200)? I think on the gears we've decided to go with 4.10s. Any other thoughts?

We don't really have a goal for this truck and I haven't thought much about how high to spin it.
My husband and I were just thinking about getting a Trick Turbo setup using a 76mm and see what the truck would do with that. I just want to have everything else on the truck ready to accept the kit and run to its full potential.

Foose04 made 730 with an 02 LS6 Cam and a 76mm, That's more than we need with this truck so it looks like this will be my cam of choice.
So with the LS6 Cam and 4.10 gears what would be the choice for a converter?

The turbo may like a little taller gears, 3:42, 3:23. I know many prior run turbos with tall gearing, helps load the turbo. But in a dd in not sure if the 4:10s would be better.
You should be fine with a 3-3200 converter.
