Cool Circle D in 2008 CCSB

finally got around to putting my Circle D 3000-3200 stall and Billet servos in. id have to say this is the best mod ive done so far. it wasnt that hard to do with your standard 3 ton floor jack, 2x6 block, a couple extra blocks. i will have a tranny jack my next go round..damn! lol
i got real lucky bc my servo cover snap ring didnt clip in all the way(its my fault for thinking i couldnt use an extra set of hands) i also forgot a peice when we put it all back together outside the truck, thats why i had to do it with it in the truck. well, anyways on to my story of WHY i had to pull the tranny Again this AM. i put 60 miles on my truck yesturday with the new stall. i foot braked it a lil, had a few 80 mphs on the way to my friends house. so yes i think i had some extra help on my side!! with the snap ring not all the way in on the servo cover. it caused my servo to **** in the housing an become wedged SO tight i couldnt pry it loose! i had to drop the tranny again this AM an hit it with a flat head screwdriver to free it up. with it out the truck i made sure it was right an the snap ring was correctly in! i got very lucky bc ive heard of people cracking the tranny case with that mistake.

if you have pacesetter LTs, be smart and pull the passenger o2 sensor so you dont risk breaking a wire like i did.

i can foot brake my truck up to 3200-3400 before it starts to spin the tires. yeah im HAPPY! lol

2008 5.3/4L60E
3:42s, G80
mods: Pacesetter LT, OR-y, CAI, LS2 TB, 14" magnaflow, Circle D 3000-3200 stall, Billet Servos.

i recommend Circle D to anyone simply bc its the only stall ive owned. plus their a small company that stands behind their work just like a well known company would. damn good people to deal with IMO

16.4x stock
16.0x w LT, OR-y, magnaflow, tune

R/T .114
60' 2.524
330 6.799
1/8 10.238
MPH 71.70
1000 13.170
1/4 15.626
MPH 91.97 LT, OR-y, magnaflow, adjusted tune by a different tuner

now i have the CAI, the bigger TB, the servos, an the stall its time to see whats in it. i have a 90mm plate nitrous system in my closet waiting to be installed lol.
i have 4:30s waiting too, but i've decided on 3:90s or 4:10s. bc i think the 4:30s will hurt me with my future mods.

skipperdaddy: when you get one, get a 2800-3000 imo this one is good for me, i think youd get annoyed with it bc of your low first gear.

theslowone07: call Circle D an tell them your on performancetrucks.net an they send the converter out with free shipping. i paid 375 shipped to my door. it comes with Hardened TQ converter bolts.

the sockets i used to fo this job was:
deep drive 1/2" with a 6" extension(for the starter) 1/2" to take the power wire off of the starter.
deep drive 15mm with 6" extension for the tranny mount nut inside the tranny cross member
15mm to disconnect your exhaust by the flex pipe
7/8 wrench to take your o2 sensor out of your passenger header(i had to with my pacesetter LTs)
11mm or 7/16 wrench to pull the moon caps off your rear u-joint so you can pull your drive shaft
get a ziplock bag an slide over the tail shaft of the tranny an tape it tight to keep any fluid from leaking
13/16 shallow socket and 13/16 wrench to pull the tranny member
let your tranny hang, the oil pan will stop it
3/4 wrench to pull the tranny lines vs fighting to see where those wire clips go
10mm to take the plastic covers off by the oil filter and here the starter is.
i honestly cant remember the converter bolt sizes i wanna say 15mm use a long flat head screw driver to turn them around till you see them where the starter use to be.
deep drive 14mm for the nuts holding the dip stick, fuel lines, tranny vent.
the studs that hold the tranny in are 15mm an you need a long extension an a swivel to get to most of them.
tranny is ready to come down!

aww man. I so want a 3000 stall from circle d. You gotta let me know what it runs. I ran a 15.8 cai, exhaust and programmer. I can't imagine what I would run with my new tune, corvette servo, intake and exhaust now. I want a converter and lt headers.

yeah tell them you want a 2800-3000 itll foot brake on the track about 3100-3300 depending.
mine is 3000-3200 and it foot brakes 3300-3400 but it drives like a 3200 imo

LTs arent hard to install.
if your doing the stall, go ahead an do the LTs then that way you can go from the bottom with nothing in your way.

I just finished installing a Circle D 3200 stall and ARH LT headers with a flowmaster dual 3" Y to single 4" into a Hooker Maxflow muffler and couldn't be happier. I can brake stall to right around 3200 before it starts to pull through the converter. This is what they consider a 3k stall for 5.3l trucks but my AWD SSS pushes it a little farther. I'll have some times next monday as I'm going to the track saturday. My previous best was 14.30 @ 94.91 with a 2.06 60'. Should be well into the 13's but we'll see...

Oh and before anyone asks my mods for the 14.30 were CAI, Tune, HD-2 shift kit with servos, no cats and a drop in crapmaster muffler. The new exhaust is much more free flowing and actually quieter in the cab than before. I love it!
