Default cleaned the truck and got some goodies!

so i cleaned my truck up, wash and wax. looks good now but needs a lot of work with swirls and such. might get more pics tomorrow:

and thanks to ron at rons machining service, i got 4.88 motive gears and a truetrac system. hopefully installing these soon when i get free time to bring my truck to the shop, sucks that i DD it:

also picked this mag-hytec diff cover up for added fluid:

anyone recommend anything to use for diff fluid? i was gona use royal purple if not the GM stuff.

Don't run synthetic gear oil with that truetrac. I run Castrol Hypoy C 80-90 in mine.

what gears are you running stock?
4.88 seems a bit too steep if your tires are 35"

im running 3.73's. the equation to get back to stock performance is 4.56's. ill be running what other guys do for performance going from 3.73's to 4.10s. it will only be about 150 more rpms at 75(around 2400-2500)

read the paperwork that comes with your differential. it will tell you what type of fluid to use... I know my auburn said DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC FLUID... I believe the trutrac will say the same.. just read it and follow directions...
