I have spoken to them several times and still haven't got my kit, last time was about 10 days ago and they were waiting on the supplier sending them the
housing that the maf bolts into.
you may be able to get the housing/sleeve and retro fit to your earlier kit,
If I had mine I'd post up a pic so you could see.
Call them, they will tell you.

I spoke to Patrick at Vararam.
I hadn't asked about the retro fit, just assumed it may be possible.
He told me one time they were working on the new style maf housing and that it's design was very critical to function and they did lots of testing.
Last time I spoke to him he said they were using the vette housing and were waiting on an outside vendor to make some.
That's somewhat conflicting, maybe they just realised they already had something that would work.

I have heard some guys are cutting the new style oe maf housing and installing it on older vararam intakes. [norris 83]???
I will wait awhile for vararam, but if they don't get it together I'll look at something else.

Ill call Patrick tomoorow for an update.

Spoke with Patrick again today,
He has a unit on 6.2 out for real world testing.
Says they have tested it with afr adjusted for about 40hp on otherwise stock truck.
Runs pig rich with stock tune.
He wants to run it another week before releasing for sale.
I asked if they could retro fit new maf to older intake, he said not a problem
You need the new maf housing, he calls it a metering block and a harness extension.
You need to know if you have a 4 or 5 pin plug on your maf.

I guess I'll hurry up and wait some more.

Done...just needed to chop the MAF tube, find a few rubber connectors, and a fitting for that breather tube....

Dialed in partial throttle today, prettty darn responsive. My fuel trims were 11% lean after swaping intakes...Going to dial in WOT with the wideband tomorrow... The Tq readings in my log's jumped from 466 to 506 at WOT during highway speeds, my MAF readings at top end went from 345 grams/sec to 376 grams/sec, can't wait to dial this bitch in...

Headers should be here soon...

wow, that worked out ok
looks like these things may work as well as claimed..
How much time to install the kit?
what does the grams/sec data tell you/mean

Why did you get the headers coated, cosmetic or heat retension, durability?????

I am still waiting.....on vararam

Only took about one hour...

grams per sec is what I use to measure mass airflow rate...

Getting them coated mostly to help combat heat down here in the South...I also wanted to try something other than JetHot... This stuff is insulated http://www.swaintech.com/store.asp?pid=10969

Pic of the coating (not my headers)
