Did you have the proper space between tc & flexplate? 1/8 to 3/8?

Might want to get a pressure gauge connected to the test port.

What gears are in the truck, and how much does it weigh. When I put my first yank in my CC 09, it was a pt4400, WHOA, wouldn't move till 4000 and it flashed about 5500. My SS4000 though would move barely around 2300 -2500 or so.

It's my truck the post is about. Mods are in Sig. We have narrowed it down to either bad converter or "broken pump"? I disconnected my trans cooler line for a second and fluid was for sure pumping. Anyone know normal idling pressure?

If it was all the way in prior to startup, I would say the converter may have a problem.

55-75 psi (with fluid at normal temp) for most stock 60E's at idle. Could be a bit higher depending on how it's built or tuned, but definately should not be lower.

Have you gotten a gauge on it yet?

3 clicks is so subjective, easy to put a straight edge across front of bellhousing before pulling out out converter, then note the distance to the pilot, new converter goes is,you know its in when measurements the same.

if it wasnt 80psi fluid coming out of line or 200psi in reverse then you may have broke pump gears.
hydraulic fluid pressure gauge at main line tap will confirm

Doing pressure test today after work. Then pulling trans.... again.... fluid level hasn't changed and now I'm doubting myself and if the converter stayed in during install. Clunked 3xs during install and it spun easy while lining up flywheel bolts. Guessing it is time to pull it all back out. Will pump damage be visible?

It would have not spun easy if it wasn't in the pump, but if you didn't have the right amount of space between tc & flexplate you could have pull the tc out the pump.

okay well this sounds like a possibility because I pulled the tc against the flywheel? But the thing is the one time I put it in drive and gave it gas it didn't budge till 5k to 5500 rpm and it was barely moving?
