Does anyone have the PN for the trailer connector on the bumper? I need the large round one.

Are there fuses in the fuse block that need to be connected since my truck didn't come with the package?

And as far as electronic brake controllers go, is there a good brand I should stick with or just get the cheap one?

all the trucks are prewired for a trailer hitch, if you look near your spare in between the bumper there should be a round plug with a cap on it...any northern tool or tractor supply....etc should have the proper plug for the 99-newer trucks.


tekonsha brake controllers are good IMO. On my style truck (2006) there is a panel under the dash near the Ebrake that you would plug an adapter harness into and wire it directly to the brake controller.

 

Thanks. I ordered the connector but haven't decided on the controller. What's better, Timed or Inertia? Does it matter?
