creeking noise

Default creeking noise

I hope a few of yall here can help me, I have an 09 CC and I put DJM shackles on the rear and since then I have been having a squeaking or creeking noise coming from the rear and it's driving me nuts. Please help. thanks.

You have to grease the hell out of DJM products. They use polyurathane bushings and they will always havea tendency to squeek.

That is why I wish to God people would use poly graphite bushing like the ones PST sells. There just as hard just as durable and will only squeek if by chance you do something terrably wrong.

So if this is what's causing the squeaking do I have to take them off to grease them or is there a spray I can spray on them like wd 40 on something. Thaks.

DJM advertises zerk fittings on there stuff so you can grease them. Did you by chance not install them or maybe forgot about them?

If not penetrating oil may get a couple of days relief for you, but they should be greased like there instructions say.

also make sure too load the suspension aka have it on the ground on its own weight before tightening or they could be in a bind..

I did not get any grease zerks with the shackles and they don't even look like they have a spot for them. I didn't even tighten them to much because the instuction said so. I hate to take tem off because it looks so good dropped in the rear but it's driving me nuts.
