I decided I'm going to try it, hes supplying tool steel retainers and cam for $400 to my door all brand new stuff so I think thats pretty good. Not allowed to post wtb adds yet but springs for .600+ lift are needed(this is me being sneaky ) so if you have a set that you wanna sell let me know please, matter of fact anything for the dod swap would be nice ls7 lifters, trays, rocker arms etc.. I'm just starting to look tonight now that I've committed to do it.

I drove my truck cammed with no converter and got great mileage, but it bucked at stop lights and acted a little funny. (Great mileage in a tbss is around 17ish).

I did my 3200 converter and dropped to around 14 in town. That, to me, is the killer of fuel mileage!

Buy BRAND NEW valve springs. Dont take a chance on used springs man....

PAC1518 beehives are pretty popular and not expensive

Patriot extreme duals here 18k miles an still kicking strong a few 6700rpm shifts at times, but its mainly a cruiser now. Its got a ton of 12.7-13.0 passes on the motor before the 6L80e swap. But it gets its fair share of wot runs still

Werd on good valve springs. DD vehicles will kill em if you have a high lift cam. Economy is a direct reflection of how you drive.
