"Better" is not necessarily true, but they do flow more. I don't know what the ratings are for each, but the flex fuel motors have a higher flowing fuel pump and injectors. It is a "better" platform if you plan to add big power like a big shot of nitrous or boost. If you aren't adding big power (just boltons and maybe a mild cam) its not much to worry about.

It's just a clarity thing, lol. A newb would read "L9H is a VVT FlexFuel L92" and assume that the L92 is not VVT..... That's all.

10-4. I've always been curious why the SUVs got the DOD but the trucks didn't. You would think it would at least be an option; did they have issues with the DOD with the GMT900 VortecMax that deterred them from placing a DOD engine in its replacement?

Asking the wrong person there. I buy V8's so I have 8 cylinders... not 4 normal and 4 with crappy lifters that see rapid heating and cooling cycles that seem to accelerate oil consumption from sticking rings. They can keep that technology thanks......... and the rest of the truck that comes around it too.

Needless to say I will be yanking the heads in the near future for stock replacement lifters that dont have any of the new goodies.
