way old i know, but just stumbled across this and damn it looks good, but it also looks like a **** load of custom wiring would be involved

 

i just did this dash swap to my 07 avalanche. Everything works but the dealer cant program the damm radio. Do yo know some one who can do it? Thanks bro

Was the conversion fairly straightforward? Did you run into any problems?

 

Program the radio to match the vin used for the BCM if you have been changing stuff. Dealer can program it they just dont know how.

 

Program the radio for your stock avalanche VIN as long as you have bose etc. radio doesn't have a clue what the hell platform it's installed in. What audio options does your truck have and what, radio do you have in it now that you want to program.
