my truck had the factory bose system in it. When i swapped out the dash i used the wiring from the caddy but with the bcm, etc from the avalanche. Everyting works awsome but the dealership cant revin the radio. The radio is the one with navigation, dvd, bose, 6 disck from the caddy. I might be able to get the bcm from the caddy. If i swap them out will this work?? i didnt it use it cause i didnt want to mess with the ignition. I used the original column but used the covers, shifter, wheel and airbag from the caddy...

What year is the donor vehicle guts, what year is your avalanche. Do you have DL3 power fold signal mirrors?

I'm thinking and have played around a bit with putting stuff where it shouldn't be on the gmt-900's computer and accessory wise. You will need a donor VIN flash the bcm, radio, bose amp, driver door module, passenger door module, onstar module to a escalade VIN. Perform the SDM re-learn procedure for the air bag. You will also have to have a new never prgrammed XM receiver or one from the vehicle that all your donor guts came out of. The XM modules are not re-programmable they learn a VIN once and that's it they are then locked if you reflash stuff. This is only if you want stock XM. Once all of this is done you should be in business and everything work correctly.

the doner truck was a 07 ESCALADE. I swapped out the front end, all 4 doors complete and interior. I have the motor, but im lazy..lol..

I found the Escalade body control module and swapped it out. Now the doors, bose amp, radio and bcm are off the caddy now. I disconnected the battery to see if it would reset but it still says theft lock..should i take it to the dealer to have them try the relearn?

Have them scan the BCM to find the VIN. Then flash the radio to that VIN and you are in the money.
