Question DOD delete

So I ordered a new cam setup for my truck. 2008 RCSB 5.3 dod/afm motor. I got a 224r cam from TSP. 224/224 .581/.581 112lsa. I have been trying to do some research about doing the DOD delete but I havent been able to find a straight answer from someone that has done it.

I ordered new cam, lifters, pushrods, and springs.

Is there anything else that I need to do the job correctly??? this is my daily driver and I dont want my heads off for a week while I have to order something else to finish it!!

I have heard about lifter trays??? can I run the stock valley cover???

Thanks in advance for the help. Please only post if you are 100% sure about this, sorry but I really can't have my truck down for weeks.

There's a lot more parts needed then the ones on that link , sorry I'm on my phone and can't post links but search "DOD delete" above and there are a couple threads that you can find all part # to get the job done right.

I think it was less than $1K in total , cam, parts and and some tools I didn't had, valve spring tool ,torque wrench, and balancer install tool. Some tool can be loaned at local parts store.

All you need is lifters, lifter trays, and valley cover.
