Default DoD and VVT deleted. Correct cam installed

Got my AFM and VVT deleted. All in about a 24 hour period.

I also got the new cam that COMP sent me and installed it

Pictures are with and then without VVT

What motor you have? Cam? More info.. Sounds great by the way

2011 GMC Sierra 5.3L

I went with a 222/224 .566/.568 lift and 112 lobe duration cam

I put 16 LS7 lifters in it, and swapped to a 3 bolt cam and also put on an LS2 timing chain dampener.

It desperately needs a tune. It still wants to stall every now and then when the rpms drop too fast.

Mine took just over 14 hours with a buddy. He's done a few before and I've had the front of the truck apart a few times so we were flyin good on it.

Nice lookin truck and sounds excellent. What is your current exhaust setup it sounds really nice.

That's good work. I only used my neighboor for help getting the AC compressor back on. For some reason, they didn't put a belt tensioner on my model. It makes it much harder getting in there with a pry bar to get the compressor mounted.

I put in about 16.5 hours of work.

I've got kooks LT headers going into a Y-pipe with high flow cats. 3" all the way back with a $25 dollar ebay muffler and then just a tip.

How did you make due with the oil pick-up tube bolt? My flange is welded all the way around so I couldn't dremil it to rotate the bolt hole to the outside.

I still didn't drop the oil pan, but I had to finagle it with a magnet while sitting up underneath the truck being eye level with the oil pump.

Kinda did the same as you but ended up dropping the pan. Newer trucks don't have the tensioner, I was going to grab one from a salvage yard but didn't feel like rolling in mud.
