Default Does your 6.2L use oil?

Im debating on installing a catch can that I bought but I cant say my engine uses any oil. I havent peeled the TB off to see if theres oil in the intake manifold or not but this was a BIG problem with my last LS1. Just wondering if any of y'all are noticing any of these PCV related oil issues or any other oil loss in general?

depends on what year the motor is. mine uses about half a quart between oil changes. it is wet in the intake manifold. the drivers side pcv is on the back side of the valve cover. there is an updated one that puts the pcv at the front of the valve cover on the drivers side.

My 2010 has a tiny bit of oil in the TB. Looked at it yesterday. 22k miles and very little oil.

I'd install it!! The cleaner your intake/TB is the better!!

What years eat the oil?

mine drinks oil, burns oil, eats oil! It loves oil...mostly because of a stem seal leak though. but my TB has a nice ring of oil on it too. I'll install a catch can soon.

I've got a 6.2 waiting on the engine stand for a rainy day, It'll be getting a catch can and possibly a vacuum pump setup once its in and running.

If your truck is consuming oil try a different brand, perhaps a heavier weight! Rotella T6 FTW!
