Well the "best" DR is the Mickey Thomson et street dr's but they are pretty much a slick. You cannot drive them in the rain its insanity although in the dry they are a very nice street tire. The cornering grip is surprisingly very high ( I have a set for my 450 whp Camaro ) and of course straight line traction is insane. I believe the record is in the 6 second bracket for these tires now.
But if you want to daily drive then Id steer away from them. The nittos seem to have a good compromise for DD use vs grip. They arent bad but I can spin them pretty easy on my car. Same with the BFG dr's and they SUCK in the wet.
So Id go MT's for all out performance and Nittos for a middle of the road performance vs compromise.
As for size? You could probably run a 255 or even 275 if you can get a tall enough sidewall. The 4x4's come with 265's iirc stock

I say the NT05 or the NT555... the MT's are great but they are extremely soft and won't last long. A buddy of mine went through them in a month...
