Default Driveshaft info

Hey guys where are y'all getting your driveshafts built? And are you rcsb guys going back with steel or going aluminum? I had a local shop build me a heavier wall steel shaft but it still has some vibration approaching 90ish and I'm scared to push it any harder after the first two factory units coming out and doing pretty good damage. Please post some shops and phone #'s. Thanks.

Where do you guys get good U-joints from? The shaft I had built came with a 1350 U-joint but it didn't fit in the diff yoke. I had to find a Precision brand U-joint that had the correct size for the shaft and then the correct size for the stock diff yoke. I don't know how good that brand is. I'm afraid if it coming apart at high rpm/mph (dyno)

quick question. when you guys get your driveshaft balanced whats it up to? a local shop.. only one we really have. said they will high speed balance my stock 2 piece for 130 bucks but to 4,000 rpm. i would think my truck spinning to 6200 combined with gear manipulation that 4,000 isnt good enough. it sounds like what chevy prolly did from the factory.

but also when you get a tire high speed balanced its not like they spin it to 130 lol.

mine is balanced at 3,000rpm or so i think. the way it was explained to me is that if you have a vibration at 1000rpm its worse at 2000+ so if i balance it at 3000rpm and it doesnt have a vibration why would it have a vibration at 6500. thing is that MadMan's exact words is, just because you balance it to 3000rpm and it doesnt vibrate doesnt mean that it wont vibrate at a higher rpm. they have their built shafts balanced at 10,000rpm...yes you read right, 10,000rpm! he doesnt use anyone in Louisiana to build them.

if mine still vibrates im going to take it Madman and have him send it off to be balanced/tweaked if need be.

Wow is driveshaft breakage prone to these trucks? I figured the factory would make them strong enough to take plenty of abuse. What about driveshaft loops?
