Default Driveshaft ticking/clicking sound, HELP!

Getting a clicking/ticking sound out of my driveshaft when I take off from a stop. Took it to the dealer, showed them the noise...their certified tech told me the classic, "That's normal". Talked to the service manager and they replaced the rear u-joint, but it still has the noise. Any tech's out there can give me a little help on how to convince them, or can anybody access TSB's and see if theres anything out there?

What about the front u-joint?

Can you record the noise from inside the cab?

Yeah, I'll try to tomorrow...you can't here it from inside because of the dumped magnaflow. I noticed it at first when I was driving through a parking garage with the windows down. It only happens when I give it gas (torque) at low speeds, sounds like a bunch of repetitive clicking...I can rock the truck back and forth in park and hear it too, it's defiantly coming from the back, where the driveshaft meets up to the rear end.

Mine did that when it was fairly new an I took it in a few times and they claimed flashing the computer was how they fixed it. It felt like when I gave it gas from a stop, that the drive shaft had play and in figured what I heard was from the play catching. I know that doesn't help. But just thought I'd see if that sparked anything. Gl

My dad had the same problem with his 08 and after taking it to the dealer a couple of times to get the yoke greased he told them this is BS having to bring it in every 10k miles. The guy finally replaced the yoke with a nickle plated one and it hasnt done it since. ive never actually looked at it so i dont know whats nickle? maybe just the splines?

This is a old *** thread and the OP probably never see my reply...

"certified tech" is only a regular guy with a extra patch on his shirt to make all the mechanical tards feel warm n fuzzy knowing that someone "Certified" is working on their certified used vehicle.
