Default Dropped major coin on exhaust and picked the wrong muffler DRONE!

I just put dual 3in stainless steel mandrel bent tig welded exhaust on my truck and was in a hurry when buying mufflers and just ordered magnaflow bullets. The drone at 2k is so bad Im sick and it really sucks because the exhaust is so sweet its polished 304 stainless. I seen the resonator idea and would love to try it but if it doesnt work I have cut my exhaust for nothing.
I knew they would be loud but holy crap super loud. I am however very happy with the sound at idle. Im a jackass and should have done some research. Very disapointed with my mufflers Im probly gonna change any suggestions welcome thanks I will try and figure out how to post pics tom.

don't feel bad. I have 5 different mufflers laying in the shop. ! on the truck and one that left unexpectedly. I currently have a stock of some sort muffler and the around town is great. The drone at 75mph is still horrid. Makes me want to sell the turbo system and go back to stock.

no I didnt think I needed a X-pipe with forced induction but if you think it will help the drone I will give it a try.

So you think the Borla XR1 will not drone that much I may give that a try dont know yet what Im going to do.

Thats cool dynomax is lifetime didnt think about that

The XR1 is loud, very loud. I think he was saying that as a joke. I have read a few places that an X pipe will really improve sound quality and might net you a few ponies, like 5 or so. I would do an X pipe first, then go from there. But for muffler, I would only go with Magnaflow, maybe 2 18" ones.
