Electrical issue.

Electrical issue.
So it seems I am having a electrical issue that is intermittent, and is proving to be difficult to diagnose... 08 RCSB 4.8
While driving the power door locks suddenly and continually lock and unlock. All idiot lights come on. Gauges begin jumping all over. Obvious loss in engine power and throttle response.
After the trucks been shut off it all goes back to normal. Except the time on the radio.
No codes presents yet.
Occasionally the time on the radio will be reset when I crank the truck up.
I have checked and cleaned the battery terminals and cables. Checked grounds.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

check the wiring going to all speed sensors, also check the connections to your fuel system control module. i was having this issue and found some bad wiring to one of the wheel sensors. did it a few more times and i pulled the walbro 400 and put a new delphi pump in and it has not done it since.

After all my checking of harnesses grounds and fuses, the battery began to give tell tell signs of old age failure. I replaced the battery and it seems to have resolved the issues. 8 days now with none of the mentioned problems. Thankfully it was simple and didn't evolve into a electrical nightmare.
Last week driving home I noticed a sluggish start followed by all the previously mentioned problems a couple miles down the road. After the truck quit freaking out I was able to watch the volt meter which was working just fine reading around 13-14 until higher than 3500 rpms it would drop and struggle to stay around 12. I hooked up my own meter again at home and saw that the alternator was working fine. I checked the battery periodically while the truck was off and not started over night and noticed by morning it was just not holding an acceptable charge. Battery was from 6/2011, replaced that and all seems to be ok.
Thanks for the input guys.

Hope that fixed your problem.
I had a similiar issue with door locks cycling, truck would kick out of gear, dash went crazy, yadda yadda. Turned out that the positive lead from the battery to the starter had somehow (after a 2 years and 40k miles) moved and rested on the header. It burned through the wiring insulation and would short out on the tube causing all kinds of crazy lol.
