3.42 is perfect. I have em in my truck.

1,2, and 3 are lower gears, and like 1 and 2 in a 4L60E with 4.10, or larger...than 4,5, and 6 is like 3 and 4 on the 60 running 3.23's

Actually 3.42 rear and 1st in the 6L80 are like running the 60 with a 4.56 rear
1st is 4.03 ...3.42X4.03 is 13.78

60E 1st is 3.06...with a 4.56 rear your looking at 13.95

It gets you up and going in a hurry, than leans out so you can cruse at a higher speed with low RPM.

I also spin the tires changing into 2nd and 3rd with my 6L80E and 3.42 rear. I change to 3rd at 6K rpm and 110 or 120km/h..it spins enough to set off the T/C light

I had hit 130-135 a few times like about 10 times actually I have 3:73 275/55/20 tire. I haven't broken my shaft yet ( knock on wood):nunchuk1:

Ive been 136 with my CC and 3.23's and 29" tires. I won't even push it with the 4.10's though. Back to the OP, go to autozone and have the codes pulled.

after my BBP tune, i had my rig up to 136-138. i figured the stock tires would of failed before the driveshaft. never been that fast again lol(and not because i got it lifted 2 months later)

That is what it says in the manual, a misfire. And like I said my 08 had no problem at 125 so I was just wondering if that was something new in the newer 2011 model. I'm gonna get it checked in the morning though so hopefully it gets taken care of.

I plan on putting a Turbo on it in the near future so those 3.42's should come in handy.
