Anyone doing a cam swap on a GMT-900, be prepared for these demons from hell.

They can turn your relaxed 4 hour cam swap into a pain in the a$$.

I deal with those almost everyday. How in the hell do you do that? Do you use the correct size torx bit?

Those do suck. We had to get some kind of slap driver or something to get mine...I replaced them with regular hex head bolts

We broke the end of a torx bit of in the head of one of those. They are a ******* nitemare

I have had that same problem on 2 different engines in the last 2 months. Sucks :/

To make life easier for those of you who encounter this in the future. Use a torch with a really soft flame and lightly heat the head of the bolt for about 05-15 seconds it softens the locktite and they come out like butter afterwards.

Why in the ******* hell would They use a piece of **** torx headed bolt there anyways? Must have hired that engineer from Ford haha.

There is only 2 bolts on the plate holding a 4.3 cam plate, when I swapped in my 224/230 in the 4.3, I stripped both.
