Default finally cammed...thoughts and questions

Just finished my install this past weekend and got tuned Monday. Thanks to everyones advice and help Im now running a TR220-112, cirlce d 3200 stall, pacesetter LTs and ory, dod delete and tru cool 40k. I left the motor in the truck which was a PIA but managed not to break anything. Had to get towed to the tuner but it fired right up after he made a few adjustments. Truck made 315whp..a little less than I expected but Im more disappointed at how it feels. Its still a turd off the line although it will turn the tires over which it didnt do before. Not worth $3000 imo. Now I need suggestions on a different muffler. Right now I have a 3" SI/DO super44 that sounded decent before the mods but now its way too loud and raspy when I take off. I was lookin at the Hooker aerochamber or maybe magnaflow. I just had 3" tailpipes run recently and I'd like to keep em so I'll probly need another SI/DO. Im not into rasp and popping so if your cammed with LTs and no cats let me know or hear what you got. Thanks again

Most people with a TR220 and a 5.3 make between 320-340 rwhp, but that's with the old 5.3 heads. Your 5.3 has the better z06 243/799 heads. Should be making north of 320 HP at least.

Its a 5.3 and I have 3.42s. Im clueless about tuning but the guy that tuned it said it was on the conservative side which I was alright with since its my dd. Mileage seems to be pretty good so far but Ive only been driving it since monday. Ill track it next time I fill up. Also the rpms surge about 50-100 or so when Im cruising between 40 and 55mph. Would this have anything to do with converter lock up. Is it fixable with the tune. Its not annoying yet but I'd like to correct it if possible.

That's not a good tune if you're surging with a cam that small.

Thanks for the offer Atomic but I'd like to try and get my $550 worth out of this tune. I'll call the guy tomorrow and see if he can fix the surging.
