Default GMT900 has SPOILED me...

You know.... I hate to admit this of my truck but.... Damn these things drive, ride, and handle nice!!! Long story short I got a bunch of cars and recently finished a 6.2L t56 swap in my Camaro so Ive been driving the **** out of it while I can before the snow flies. I also have a CTS Sport ltd that Ive been using the odd day for work. Anyways onto the point I drove my 11 Sierra last night for the first time in a couple of weeks and WOW... How nice was that? Even though its a truck it rides way smoother than my CTS and the Camaro? Well seeing as its rod end/poly suspension on the sportlines I think you get the point. But most of all what I had become accustomed to is the lack of outside noise especially wind noise GM did a great job of making the 900's very civilized.

All in all I think this is my favorite truck yet

^^^ that explains why my silvy is the road trip vehicle. I could save money and drive the Buick, but th silvy is awesome on road trips. Comfy, rides great, and gets you there without issue

Yup same here. Ive had my Sierra on two substantial road trips one to NYC and one to Quebec City as well as a bunch of day tours to the cottage etc. I just never realized "just" how nice it as until I stopped driving it for a couple of weeks lol

I love taking trips in my truck even though its not stock. Even with the exhaust, catless y pipe, i really enjoy the silence in the cab.

I think you should post some pics of the camaro swap

Ya the Wifemobile is a 97 GTP, and she likes the truck way better. My wife has arthritis so she's quite sensitive to a less than smooth ride. I keep telling her when I get my stroker 455 powered, '79 Olds 98 lowrider painted, it's gonna ride better than any car she's ever been in. But she hates that thing...

Nice. Im a big fan of heavy metal. Ive had a couple of 70's Lincoln Town cars and various caddies. I still have a 95 Fleetwood Brougham with the factory LT1 etc. I just got rid of a 66 Galaxy 500 that was on bags with a 5.0L mustang fuelly.

Thinking about doin an LS swapped 90 454SS pick up next

I have to disagree strongly. I'm a tech at a dealer and I drive 900's all day long and when i get in my '03 i like it much better than the newer trucks. The 900's I've driven all seem to squeak and rattle much worse than older trucks. Door panels and dash components seem to be very common areas of concern. I'm sick of customers complaining about noises.

That's odd, mine is as tight as a drum.
They could use a rear sway bar though.
My 6.2 has a bad knock in it though, which drives me nuts, but that's another topic.
