i love the seats in my gmt900, best truck seats i've ever sat in. a girl i know has a 05 silvy, and the seats are okay, but not as good as mine. buddy of mine has a 94 silvy (owned since new) and the seats are pretty comfy, a little more lateral support would be nice (it has a bench...).

i've ridden in several regency models, and the seats are still just okay.

i might be biased, i'm a big guy (370lbs).

I hate the seats in the GMT900's

My parents have a 2011 Texas edition
Although its still new the seats don't feel as comfortable or seem like they have as much padding as the 03-06's. Plus the stupid door handle with the little silver cover is right where my left knee rests while driving. I'm 6'2 which could be half the problem. Also, having the 6spd trans is nice as far as being able to hold decent power. But with the stock tune on it the trans is constantly shifting up/down trying to find a gear. It pisses me off... -____-

All in all I'd rather drive my brothers 03 ECSB any day of the week than the new 900.

My truck is great it's an SLT but I do have some gripes.

Seats suck-too hard seats in my old 98 way more comfy

bose blows sounds terrible system in my 98 sounded better stock for stock

had a lot of road noise in the rear seating area took complete interior out and dynamatted and expanding foamed the whole damm truck made a huge frickin difference. quieter than a caddy now.

My other gripe may come as a odd one the truck exterior wise is just too damm big it's frickin huge compared to my 98 and 07 classic. I don't want a s-10 but it really is a lot larger compared to previous models.

BUT for my couple of nitpicks I would buy another one and deeply love my 6.2 it is a great driving trucks it rides, drives and stops great. I have taken care of my gripes with dynamat, a better sound system and the SLT interior cured the plastickyness of the standard interiors.

Well I guess I'm lucky because my truck has been great. Bought new in March 2007 and its been my daily driver since, I run it nice some days, hard others, corner like mad on the 20's and it sees outside temps from -30C to +40C. Heater and A/C work good too (no doubt due to small cab). Rides nice, no rattles, quiet, solid, no plastic bits have broken off, have had no issues other than rock chips which of course are intense due to the design of the body (lower door edges and behind fenders are bad areas due to the tuck of the body).

I'd buy another one.

I have to disagree strongly. I'm a tech at a dealer and I drive 900's all day long and when i get in my '03 i like it much better than the newer trucks. The 900's I've driven all seem to squeak and rattle much worse than older trucks. Door panels and dash components seem to be very common areas of concern. I'm sick of customers complaining about noises.
you are smoking crack. the 03-07's were crap. My boss had an 03 extended cab. if you sat in the back, you always thought the doors were going to pop open whenever you hit a bump. The wind noise was terrible.
In my 07 new body style, you never hear that. Its solid. Never had a rattle/squeak from the dash. If the customers are complaining about noises in the cab, its not because the trucks are crap, its because its quieter than the previous versions in the cab and now they notice everything.

i love the lack of wind noise. @70mph its so quiet inside you can hear your passengers breathing, which is a little creepy sometimes.

also makes my stereo sound really good, since the speakers aren't battling road noise.

Yeah I've driven many GMT800 and 900 trucks over the past several years, mostly 2500HDs (gas and diesel) but a couple 1500s, and all extended cab but my 2011 6.2, and I can honestly say that the 900 is the quieter, more refined truck. My truck is the nicest of the bunch and it's an LT crew, but honestly there are few things I preferred about the 800. The 800 HD 6.0seems to get out of its own way better than the 900, but that's all I can really come up with.

I think as soon as I saw the interior of the GMT900, it made the GMT800's look like they were built by fisher-price. I always hated that. But it felt the same way when I moved from my 94 sierra to the 2004 silverado....
I agree completely. My '09 and '11 have both been perfect. At one time I almost acquired an '07 Duramax but the interior completely turned me off in comparison to the '09 I had at the time. It was basically the same as all of the '90s cars (like F-bodies).

I agree completely!

New, I've owned a 1982 GMC S15, a 1985 GMC S15, a 1989 GMC 3500 dually ext cab, a 1990 Chevy 1500 ext cab, a 1996 GMC 1500 ext cab, a 1999 (NBS) Sierra 1500 ext cab, a 2002 Sierra 1500HD crew, a 2005 Sierra 2500HD crew Duramax, and now my 2008 Sierra Denali.

This SD is absolutely, without question, far and away, the finest new vehicle I've ever owned. No comparison to any of my older trucks on power, handling, comfort, ride quality, lack of rattles and wind noise, HVAC performance, sound system, etc.

'nuff said . . .

The only time my '07 with 40k miles squeaks or rattles is when I'm offroading, or hitting nasty washboard on gravel roads... Other than that, silent as can be...

It rides smoother than my dad's old '93 Suburban did.
