Would these gears fit our GMT 900 trucks? Talk about a deal - this kit is for both front and rear axles. If this works, I'm going to buy a set for my truck ASAP!

It looks as if the pinion bearing seat area is different on my factory pinion compared to the 90 1500 gears I pulled. There is about 3/4" of inch of machined area on the 90 1500 gear, and the 1.25" or more on the 2010 1500 pinion gear, due to the bigger bearing outside diamter.

The pinion bearing id size seems to be the same, but the outside diamater is alot bigger in my newer style rear.

**** the stealership. Gears can run as low as $130.00 for no namers and typically no more than $2-500 for OEM depending on application. Search ebay a lot of times you'll find a good dealer on there.

If you have a coo coo clock posi ( gov lock ) ditch that while your at it and throw in an Eaton.

Not saying that these are name brand gears, but ebay does have a lot of options for pretty cheap. I found some gears and eaton/auburn limited slips for around $625 to $675 for the kit together with intall kits. Just an option

The inner bearings are different part numbers but the gears still show to be the same.

Does this mean that I can reuse the factory bearings from my truck and install these older style gears in my truck?

I think the 2WDs do, but my AWD has the 8.6, I think (at least it looks like that). Can anybody confirm that??
