There is only 150 miles on this thing.
I have only done the suspension and taken the resonator out of the tail pipe.

I have headers/cats here to install but i need hpt beta 2.23 so i can atleast disable the codes the headers will set. I have ordered a vararam intake. I am not sure what I will do with the exhaust yet. It sound healthy as it is and should sound real good with the headers.
I'll do a sound clip when I put them on

Stock, it drives like a dream and has a big fat torque curve and lots of off-idle power.
Gotta get used to the 6-speed and the manual shift buttons.

No pics, salt on the road here right now, not pretty.
Will look identical to the truck in the pic except for the wheels

sounds good, definitely louder but no resonance at cruising speed.
I didn't have alot of seat time in different driving conditions to have a frame of reference
for comparison

I changed it because the oe tail pipe is kind of fugly.
I used pieces of the pipe i removed and butt welded them to the tail pipe ahead of where the resonator was and butt welded a 3.5 inch stainless tip to that.
exits at a steep angle behind the wheel, I prefer not have a big tip showing.
I will take some pics tomorrow
time permitting, I'll put my headers on.

Have you done any exhaust on yours???

Thanks Show,

I've got the 1 3/4 headers. I have true duals at this time with Flowmaster 40 series. They sound good just cruising around, but are loud when you give it the throttle. Had Magnaflow when first got the headers, but were way too low in the cab. The FM have much better sound in the cab.......both are loud on the truck though. The stock setup is as loud as a 5.3L with flowmasters at idle in my opinion.

Congrats on the truck.. if stealership set you up with Michellin's ... on a Vmax... they're not going to last long at all.

This prob isn't a fair comparison, but we have an '08 HHR SS that is modded to 290fwhp, so far. The car has a slight 26k mi on it, and have already changed the Michellin tires that came with it.

installed headers, took out resonator from the tail pipe. painted grill

i still have the stock muffler, it's quite loud and drones a bit at certain rpms and constant highway speed.
has a pulsing tone rather than the smooth, clean tone you get with magnaflow.
i think i'll order a 3.5 inch large body magnaflow. shouldn't be much louder but will have better sound quality

sorry for the dirty truck, it's winter
