Default Hail Damage - Phoenix area

My truck was just creamed by hail about the size of tennis *****. I counted 31 dents of various sizes on my hood, roof top of bedside, 3 in the bed and a couple in my door. Is this repairable with Paintless dent repair? How much is the typical cost per dent to repair? I have a $1000 deductible and my wifes car has about 10-12 dents in her car. I am not looking forward to dropping a couple of thousand dollars to fix this mess.

I hear ya, I was at work, lots of cars were pretty beat up, including a GT-R. I would get an estimate and see if its worth dropping the 1k deductible and then go from there. Obviously dont tell insurance until after you have an estimate and make a choice, but you gotta be prompt with it. Good luck, it was comin down bad!

Sorry to hear about that.

You can pick up a paintless dent repair kit for around $250. I know toolwarehouse.com sells them.

Check them out, they are fairly easy to use and you can fix other peoples dents and get your money back!

about 6 years ago my dodge got caught in a hailstorm in Brownsville while I was working. Hail about the same size, I can tell you right now, the repairs cost ALOT more than $1K. They basically had to replace the hood, both fender, one bedside, the windshield, and remove a nasty dent from the rear cab corner near the back window and bed corner. Got a full paintjob out of it too.

dang...what side of Phoenix were you at? It hailed on the West side (right near the Cardinals stadium), but I got no dents on mine. Sorry to hear about the damage.

From what you described you have alot of damage. Yes a 1000 deductible is alot but i'm sure your damage exceeds that, your hood alone is pretty close to that. 3 years ago my GTP got hammered by hail it had 4 thousand dollars in damage, i ended up paying the deductible got an complete new paint job and a new windshield out of it, take it to the best body shop that you know of, paintless dent removal is an excellent system if you have the experience.

I still have not had an insurance adjuster out to look at my car. The insurance claims guy on the phone said that this is the biggest hail event they have had this year. Here is a video of one of the local dealerships

i wouldn't mess with it and let the your insurance cover it cause some dents especially on the bed can't be removed even by professionals.
