Easy tiger . Just got the hood last night. I need an extra set of hands to check the fit before I paint. Hopefully this week but I will get you mock up pics as soon as I have them

 

where did you find It in alberta haha. I know it wasn't kijiji cause I have that search saved in my phone and check every couple days haha

 

I did find it on kijiji. a manager from a local accessories place was selling it for a customer. PM me if you want further details because I think I got a smoking deal on it. and they are hard find...made a few calls last thursday to auto wreckers around the province looking for one. when I realized how hard they are to find, I made sure I got this one.

 

Well it fits. as mentioned previously, the top of the hood may stick out a bit over the grill but the 1500 hood does that too. the 1500 chrome trim does not fit on the hd hood so I'm going to look around for an hd trim piece but will likely just make the 1500 trim fit the hd hood. I was able to swap the hood on and off by myself last night...pretty impressed with myself actually

Looks great, I was driving by an HD yesterday and thought the same thing LOL. keep the updates coming. I might be looking at the same.

Thanks! I actually used cargo tie downs anchored to my garage ceiling and attached them to the hood latch. That way I could swing the hood around. Some careful towel placement and the swap went well. Must have had someone on my side as I managed to lose a hood bolt but had a spare lying around.

Prep starts tomorrow pm. I may be ready to paint on the weekend but I'm not sure.

 

Anyone know the part number for the hood vent?
