You already have 243 heads...

Get a cam/stall/tune. Any money left over can be put towards nitrous, which btw, I just bought a dry kit for 350$ w/ gauge and 10lb bottle.

According to your sig you've got the vortec max.....which means L92 heads. Those flow bone stock well over 300 CFM @ .600" lift. I wouldn't even bother with any aftermarket heads. Just add a nice cam and you should see a really nice gain.

l92 heads and custom cam. shop around and all the parts can be had for under $2000.

My bad, I just realized the L92's. Hell, have them milled, cam it, and throw and 200 shot on her and listen to her scream!!!!

x2 you can say your truck already came with heads , <<< just get yourself a badass cam , .... the whole kit costs about 700 (cam, springs,Rods) , tootall will professonially install it for 300 , and u can get a wet shot used for about 350 , ......

so less than $1,500

problem solved.

now go and do it !

What size motor do you have? Isn't it a 6.0? Then you would have the L92type heads. They flow around 330cfm at just over .600" lift, which in theory is good for well over 600 HP, so I don't think you should even think about changing the heads. I have seen many magazine articles where they made over 540Hp with those heads with a stock L76 manifold on a 6.0 liter.
With the right cam, springs and pushrods, you could probably pick up at least 80-100hp. Keep in mind you'll need a retune as well but Wheatley can set up up with that, I'm sure. But, it's probably going to sound real nasty at idle (which is a plus in my book).
BUT, if you want power on demand the easy and much cheaper way is Nitrous. I bought the Zex kit because it is dead easy to install (and I really like the purple hardware too). There is nothing that offers bang for the buck. On my truck, the nitrous cuts a solid second of the 1/8 ET. You gotta go pretty wild on cam and heads to beat that.

I would chose instant power over power you have to keep refilling but if you can do both even better
