Default Headers installed

I installed some Dynatechs and hi-flo cats that I picked up from "Iraq Sucks". Started Sunday at 15:00 and finished Tuesday at 15:00. I had to stop in the evenings cause in the evenings I work nights at my second job and on Sunday, even thou I was off, I quit early to spend time with wife and kids. Anyways, it was a pretty easy install. I didn't drop the cross member or support the tranny. I used the old pipe cutter and saw to get the **** out. While I was there, I changed out the plugs and played with the y-pipe to get her in. Anyways, started her up and sounded awesome. After getting ready for work, I stomped on it and it feels great. I think they are pretty sweet. I have to schedule a tune next hopefully the first week of November. I just thought I'd share. I'm not sure what to expect but I aim low to stay realistic and not be disappointed. I'll post up when I get it tuned.

Did you get a tune? Was there a noticeable difference with the headers?

How much did the Headers improve your throttle response?

The throttle response didn't improve until the tune. Tuner believes the truck sits at around 400hp/420ftlbs at the wheels,. It does feel strong. I havent found any takers for a street race but we'll see. There arent any awd drive dynos that I know of again but I am curious. Im done for performance on it. Now Im focusing on maro. Im working on a vid but my 3g iphone dosent have video. I should update this relic. Anyways I'll think of somethink.

Nice, if you don't mind me asking how much did you get the dynatechs for?

Also if i read it correctly you are replacing the factory muffler, if so can u buy your stk muffler? Mike came with a flow master and i really like the factory 6.2 sound.

I bought the Dynatechs used from a member that had them posted for 6 yes 6 months. For some reason the Dynatechs were getting a bad rap from others because ARH and Kook's had 3" collectors. I think they work awesome. Now I haven't tried those others on this truck but have used Kooks before on my LS1. They are a great header and I'm almost certain the ARH are great too. But no one had any hardcore data to disprove the Dynatechs were providing less power. I searched and searched forums like crazy and no one had dyno charts to prove their case. Just blah blah blah. So after a week of thinking about it I took a chance on them and love them. I chunked my stock muffler. I didn't need anymore junk at my house. I didnt even think of selling it.
