Default Headers question

I heard of the problem with long tubes fitting the nnbs that have 4x4 but what about shorties?

Don't waste your money on shorties. No performance gains what so ever. And the only Long tubes I have heard that don't fit on a 4x4 is LPP but that has something to do with the Y pipe hitting the cross member or something.

oh... any suggestion on which long tube brand to go with that you know fits 4x4? This will probably be for a 6.0L or 2010 6.2L.

Why? Is it the headers themselves or the ORY?

I would also like to know what LT Headers work on this platform. I have a 2007 Avalanche.

arh and dynatech both fit properly and can be ordered with or with out cats
if you don't order the cats, dynatech has ory pipe for their headers,
arh doesn't[ i beleive],
with no cats on arh you would need to go to a muffler shop to get some stuff made.

6.2 will need 1 3/4 primaries
i've had both on nnbs trucks and arh is a better disign.
they are both pricey
both will set codes which u need a tune or programmer to turn off.
if you have magnaflow or similiar cat back/muffler both will make the truck
quite loud,
sounds like a bigblock with a cam at idle, sounds really good driving around town, but can be annoyingly loud at steady speeds on the highway.
with no cats goes from quite loud to very loud.

Thanks for the info! I think I want Cats after reading this. I have mangaflow in the back and don't want my setup to be to much louder than it is unless I'm on it. I'd like cruising and idle pretty mild.

I have ARH with ory. They fit fine with no problems. I previous had dynatech's with cats. They fit fine too. I went with the ARH because they made 1 7/8' primarys.
