Headers w/3 cats
#11
My ignorance is showing. I had read so many references to "the third cat" on these trucks that I assumed it actually was one. Soon as it stops raining I'll have to go crawl under the truck and knock on it, see if it sounds like it's full of expensive metal or just an empty resonator.

mine was hollow, and I had it off not to long ago
also, dont they have to have a way of monitoring catalytic efficiency? there's no 5'th O2 mounted behind this "cat", so there'd be no way to monitor if it was getting damaged and another thing to add would be what exactly would it be catalysing? the front 2 are already 3 way cats so the HC's Nox & CO is already dealt with is seperated and broken down

Cat(s)? on NNBS Silverado : Exhaust
The second pic of the 3 is actually the third cat I'm talking about.
