heating up

Question heating up

Took my truck out to the beach over the weekend I went driving for like 45 minutes on the sand everything was fine, spent the night their and going out of the beach truck started heating up. Has this happened to anyone before

It's weird bcs it didn't do that when I was going in till the next day when I was leaving.

I'd be interested in some more details.
was it the coolant getting hot or the trans temp?
how hot was it outside?
were you lugging threw deep sand in 4 low?
were you towing a boat off this beach?

It was going all the way to 230, trans temp was good at 160. It was like 76 outside on 2wd a lot of bumps on hard sand no towing

230 isnt goin to hurt anything but i would check and make sure the AC Condensor and Radiator are clean.

If the rad and condenser are clean. Check your fans to make sure they are both coming on. Set the ac to high and let it idle for a while see if it will switch to high fans. May just have a thermostat beginning to go be a bad. The stat on my truck was acting up when it had 60 miles on it so it wouldn't surprise me a bit to have a stat failing.
