help with transmission cooler

Default help with transmission cooler

I got a 40k trucool can anyone tell me how to set it up, because my 08 sierra didnt come with the factory one. Do I just plug the holes in my radiator and extend the factory lines? sorry if its a stupid question but i search the old threads and i can find one for the nnbs trucks. The help will be greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

put it inline with the cooler in the radiator. trany to radiator radiator to cooler then back to trany

so i just cross the line in an x so i can run the tramission lines to both the radiator to the cooler. Or how is the proper and easy way to set it up? thanks in advance.

bypass the radiator imho. your tru-cool 40k will cool that trans just fine by itself.

yea being in TX, id just run the lines to the Cooler and dont worry about the radiator..

BUT,
if you wanted to keep the radiator cooler, run the top line of the radiator to the cooler, and from the cooler to the top of the radiator.. DONE.

That way it will go thru the radiator, then the cooler, then return to the transmisison

Same thing I did, dropped at least 20 degrees.

Output from the rad to the input of the the cooler,and out put of the cooler to the input line of the trans,cool the fluid even more coming out of the rad.

Well i finally installed and let me tell all the guys that are saying that the temperature drop around 20 degrees are correct. My temperature drop from 20 to 25you degrees. Even playing draw around the temperature did not went past 175.

Im just installed mine as well! I havent go to check temps yet..Did you end up bypassing the radiator? post up some pics
